Preston Scroggin was elected Faulkner County Judge in 2006, and took office January 1, 2007.  He served the last 6 years in the Arkansas House of Representatives as well as the Vilonia City Council.  While in the House of Representatives, he served on the Transportation, Economic Development, Agriculture, Forestry, Budget, and Audit Committees.

He owns and operates a working cattle ranch and earned his Bachelors of Science in Economic and Political Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He has served over 14 years as a volunteer fireman and 5 years as a Faulkner County's Fire and Rescue officer. His experience and education has allowed him to step into office and take charge of its two main aspects; County Finances and the County Road System.
