Juvenile Intake Cases
Juvenile Diversion cases- Delinquency, FINS, Truancy - An agreement entered into between a court-designated worker and a child charged with the commission of offenses. The purpose of the agreement is to serve the best interest of the child and to provide redress for those offenses without court action and without the creation of a formal court record.
FINS - (Family in need of services) Includes youth that are habitually disobedient to the reasonable and lawful commands of the parents, guardians, or custodians. Habitually and without justification absent from school while subject to compulsory school attendance. Absent from home without sufficient cause, permission or justification runaways).
Juvenile Probation Cases - Supervision of youth.
Juvenile Drug Court - The Faulkner County Juvenile Drug Court Program is a court supervised drug treatment program incorporating personalized and developmentally appropriate comprehensive treatment for post-adjudicated juveniles (youth that are under the Court’s jurisdiction due to delinquent behavior) and their families.
Teen Court - Judge led peer court. A court of high school seniors from across the 20th Judicial District perform the roles of; Bailiff, Prosecuting Attorney, Defense Attorney, Clerk of Court and Jury. It is not a court about determining guilt or innocence, but about deciding what may me the appropriate decision.
