Chuck Clawson graduated Conway High School in 1997 and after college worked his way through law school. He Joined the Brazil Firm in Conway before being hired as deputy prosecutor in 2008.
In 2013, he took an opportunity to serve as Conway’s deputy city attorney. In 2014, Clawson was elected to his first term as Conway City Attorney which began on January 1, 2015. He was re-elected to his second term in 2018.
Clawson took the bench in January 2021 after being elected to his current position of Circuit Judge for the 20th Judicial District, 3rd Division. Judge Clawson’s jurisdiction covers Faulkner, Van Buren and Searcy counties. In Faulkner County, Judge Clawson also presides over the Drug Court Program, which is a specialty court focusing on nonviolent drug offenders.
Judge Clawson and his wife, Shawn, live in Conway with their four sons.
