Judge Troy B. Braswell, Jr was sworn into his second term as Second Division Circuit Court Judge on January 1, 2021. Judge Braswell currently presides over Faulkner County Juvenile Court and Fifty Percent of the Faulkner County Criminal Docket.

During his tenure, Judge Braswell has reinvigorated the Juvenile Court by focusing on community partnerships to help at risk youth and their families. He currently serves as a member of the Supreme Court Commission on Youth and Families, the Arkansas Specialty Court Committee, and the Arkansas Drug Court Professionals Association.  Judge Braswell is the former chair of the Arkansas Youth Justice Reform Board and the Juvenile Judges Association.

Judge Braswell is an advocate for using an assessment tool aimed at smarter sentencing of juveniles. During his time on the bench, there has been a reduction in the confinement of juveniles in the local jail, a reduction in commitments to DYS and reduction in delinquency cases filed by the Prosecuting Attorney. 

Judge Braswell and his Juvenile Court have won several awards for their work with at risk youth.

Immediately prior to his first election in 2014, Judge Braswell was the chief deputy prosecuting attorney for the 20th Judicial District.
