The Faulkner County Quorum Court voted down a resolution to call a special election June 9 during its regular meeting Tuesday.
The special election would have asked voters to approve or deny reallocating funds derived from a 1/2-cent sales tax from its current 50/50 split between the road department and the criminal justice department to a 65/35 split, with the criminal justice department receiving the 65 percent.
